Dr Black is the BEST dermatologist I have had ever! I’m so LUCKY to have found her. She’s extremely knowledgeable and pro active with my skin health needs. Shes also a great listener which is rare w so many doctors I’ve seen who ignored me or downplayed a very problematic issue that’s been chronic for 5 years. Dr Black is driven by caring for her patients. She’s also so kind, attentive and always makes sure I’m scheduled quickly when I’ve have SOS skin emergencies. I also love that she’s both a medical and aesthetic dermatologist. She’s not only helping me with a problematic skin issue but I know she will be able to help me restore my skin when my treatment plan is complete.
The staff at Dr Blacks office is also exceptional. From the front staff to the nurses…everyone is so attentive, kind and accommodating. As a designer, I also have to comment that their waiting room is light, bright and current. California Dermatology is a gem in Pasadena!

5 Stars! Everyone in Dr. Soleymani’s office is wonderful and I always look forward to seeing them. From the moment one walks in, the great staff friendly and welcoming. Not all heroes wear a cape and mask. Some wear white coats, like Dr. Soleymani. He is an active listener and puts you first and at ease. When I was diagnosed with melanoma on my nose in 2022, Dr. Soleyman put me at ease when he said: "I'm going to get this, and it's not coming back on my watch." He did exactly what he said he would do and more. His reconstruction of my nose was superior. I cannot be more pleased from beginning to end and with the ongoing follow ups. I feel empowered to improve my own health. His technical competence is beyond reproach, and he uses state-of-the-art surgery techniques. He knows what he is doing. His contributions in the field of Mohs surgery, staining techniques, and directorships are additional proof. Recently, I have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma and knowing Dr. Soleymani is doing the surgery, I am inspired with optimism. There is no wait time; he scheduled me on the day I requested. Dr. Soleymani is always on time and very accommodating with his schedule. His support team are equal in stature making for a smoothly-run organization with vigilant follow up on tests, communicating results, scheduling, going above and beyond like you are family. Dr. Soleymani and his team are committed to the profession, to patients, and continued self-improvement. They like people, from this all else follows.

I had been diagnosed with melanoma insitu and was referred to City of Hope. Dr. Kang referred me to Dr. Soleymani. Dr. Kang said he was best doctor on the west coast for Mohs on melanoma insitu. I had such high anxiety about my diagnosis. Dr. Soleymani was kind enough to call me. He explained the procedure and totally calmed my fears. Had the Mohs and grafting procedure performed two weeks ago. Dr. Soleymani did a terrific job. It was all performed under local anesthetic (he is gentle and gives great shots.) I felt no pain. Am recovering and doing well. I am so happy I was referred to Dr. Soleymani. He is so kind and compassionate. Very confident and he should be. He really knows his stuff! In addition, his entire office staff is fantastic. They make you feel calm and comfortable. Thank you Dr. Soleymani! You truly are the best.
